The final game of the day was a sunny Sunday evening clash between Shannon Blues & Kerry Boston.
Shannon Blues opened by putting a point over the bar which was shortly followed by the first 2 pointer of the game. Shannon Blues Conor Horan and Cian Purcell followed it up with a point each to stretch the lead to five without reply: 0-5 to 0-0.
Kerry Boston got on the scoreboard then with Niall O’Connor putting over a point, soon followed by Joe Cooper who added one of his own. Kerry with the momentum now, Cooper found the back of the net, drawing the sides level at 0-5 to 1-2, followed by a point by Kerry's Jim Lynch.
Purcell replied instantly with a point for the Blues, but Kerry had their tails up. Paul Moran, sent one over the bar, only to be met by a left-footed point from Shannon Blues’ Rian O’Sullivan to make it level.
Kerry struck again with Moran finding the back of the net for Kerry’s second goal. The scoreline now read 0-7 to 2-4, Kerry leading by 3.
Joe Cooper got another point to extend the lead. But to their credit, Shannon Blues responded. Jordan Kissane scoring a point, before O’Sullivan’s two 2-pointers in quick succession, swinging momentum back in the Blues’ favor just before the break.
As the whistle sounded for halftime, Shannon Blues had edged their way back in front, 0-12 to 2-5, despite Kerry’s two-goal salvo.

The second half began dramatically as Kerry’s John Cooper received a black card, leaving his side a man down for the opening ten minutes. Shannon Blues taking full advantage of this. Rian O’Sullivan opened the scoring after the break, followed by a well-taken point from David Ciuciu, pushing the Blues further ahead.
Joe Cooper pulled one back for Kerry with a point from play to make it 0-14 to 2-6, but the Blues quickly stretched their lead again with two more points, putting them four up and in control.
However, Kerry Boston began to take charge of the contest. Paul Moran pointed from a free, and Matt Farrell added another with a fisted effort over the bar. Kerry’s Rob Stack, then fired over a point from play to reduce the gap to just one.
Moments later, Kerry were awarded a penalty—and Stack stepped up to bury it, flipping the scoreboard and putting Kerry ahead for the first time in the second half: 0-16 to 3-9.
The momentum stayed with Kerry. Paul Moran added a 2-pointer and Farrell splitting the posts for a point. Shannon Blues briefly responded with a left-footed point from Jordan Kissane, but Joe Cooper answered back with another point for Kerry.
When Kerry won a second penalty, it was Rob Stack who stepped up—and once again, he buried it, raising a fourth green flag for Kerry. The Kingdom side scored one more point from play.
Rian O’Sullivan managed one last point for the Blues before the final whistle, but it was Kerry Boston who finished strongest, sealing an impressive second-half turnaround to win by nine.
