There are critical games coming up in the senior football championship this weekend, and the playoff scenarios are endless.
Bottom line, Kerry and the Gaels win their games against Shannon Blues and McAnespies respectively, they will make the 5th and 6th teams in the playoffs with 9 points each.
Whichever team comes out on top in the Galway and Cork game will have to wait until Sunday to see if they qualify. Either Kerry or the Gaels will have to lose. Aidan McAnespies will hope the Blues beat Kerry, and a win over the Gaels would result in three teams on 7 points for the sixth playoff spot. A mid-week playoff scenario then results. Now, suppose Galway and Cork play to a draw, McAnespies beat the Gaels, and the Blues beat Kerry......5 teams on 7 points for 2 places. So, everything to play for Saturday and Sunday at the Irish Cultural Center!! Stay tuned.
